UTPA Men’s Golf Competes in Northwood Spring Invitational Starting Monday

Mar. 3, 2012 — IRVING, Texas — The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men’s golf team takes part in the Northwood Spring Invitational, hosted by Northwood University, the #24 ranked team in the NAIA, on Monday and Tuesday at the TPC Four Seasons.

Competition will begin at 8:00 a.m. each day. Teams will play two rounds on Monday and one on Tuesday. The course is 6,600 yards long and a par 70.

Oklahoma City University (#3 in NAIA)

Westminster College

The Broncs are coming off of a seventh place finish at the Jackson State Frito Lay/Taco Bell Intercollegiate. Kevin Kirakossian led the Broncs with a two-round score of 148 (76-72), finishing in third place, one stroke off the lead.

This is the third of five tournaments leading up the America Sky Conference Championship, hosted by the University of Hartford, with an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament on the line.
