New York Mets
The New York Mets are coming off a season which very few people expected as they made it all the way to the World Series. Now everyone is expecting big things from the Mets heading into the 2016 season as they are one of the top contenders to win the 2016 World Series. The Mets have one of the best starting rotations in the league led by Jacob deGrom and Matt Harvey but they do have some concerns in their starting lineup and they still have a major problem in the dugout with Terry Collins as the manager. The Mets are listed with odds of 10-1 to win the 2016 World Series.

2016 New York Mets
The New York Mets have arguably the best starting rotation in the league with Jacob deGrom, Matt Harvey, Noah Syndergaard, Steven Matz and Bartolo Colon. The team will also be getting Zach Wheeler back sometime this season he could take over for Colon in the fifth spot in the rotation. The only concern with New York’s rotation is health as four of the five starters have had injury issues in the past.
The lineup for New York was awful in the first half of the season and great in the second half. The Mets re-signed Yoenis Cespedes and his presence in the lineup is huge as he takes pressure off of everyone else. The team added Asdrubal Cabrera and Neil Walker but neither is a huge offensive threat. The team will need continued improvement from Michael Conforto and catcher Travis d’Arnaud and they need David Wright to stay healthy.
The bullpen should be strong with Jeurys Familia as the closer and Addison Reed as the primary setup man. The team also has Antonio Bastardo, Jerry Blevins and Sean Gilmartin as setup men.
